Amanda Trevelino
Retreat Leader & Yoga Teacher (C-IAYT, E-RYT500, YACEP) | 📍Atlanta, GA, USA / Nosara, Costa Rica
Amanda Trevelino, (C-IAYT, E-RYT500, YACEP) an authentic and adventurous spirit, inspires her clients with self-health experiences. She embraced yoga at age 40 to overcome burnout, exhaustion, and mental health challenges, finding solace in its philosophy and breath techniques. She trained extensively, including with Yoganand Michael Carroll at Kripalu, Pranakriya in Atlanta, and on a pilgrimage in India. Her teachings include Yin yoga and yoga therapy influenced by Josh Summers and Don Stapelton, PhD. Amanda founded Santosha Studio in 2016, where she emphasizes internal awareness and prioritizes the subtle body, reflecting her belief in the transformative power of thought and change.
Amanda leads yogic retreats and conscious travel experiences in the US, Costa Rica, Nepal and Greece. Her curated retreats emphasize a supportive group dynamic and personal introspection. Experiences on and off the mat are based on the yogic principles of sthira and sukha; noticing when there’s too much effort or tension, and inviting more ease.

Read moreTwice a year, Sunlight is perfectly equivalent to darkness; Yang and Yin harmonize. This is your invitation to do the same, to take inspiration from nature by balancing your nervous system. Let us guide you in Resting, Recalibrating and Reclaiming Your equilibrium during this self-health immersion. Each day offers optional hours on the mat: yoga asana in the morning; Yin yoga and Nidra most evenings. Class themes explore the concepts of yogic embodiment and energy: Rajas (activity/restlessness); Tamas (inertia/darkness); and Satva (equilibrium/harmony). Optional workshops take you deeper. This immersion qualifies for 20 yoga alliance continuing education units.

Together we’ll step out of past patterns and into a new rhythm, whether that’s the rhythm of sacred music, or the quiet circadian cycle that begins as you awake each day to the sounds of the jungle. You’ll find yourself not only guided through approachable daily yoga, but also immersed in sacred sound. Kirtan music is known to lift spirits, transcend the limitations of the mind, and foster a sense of community and connection with the divine.
