Amanda Trevelino

Amanda Trevelino, (C-IAYT, E-RYT500, YACEP) an authentic and adventurous spirit, inspires her clients with self-health experiences. She embraced yoga at age 40 to overcome burnout, exhaustion, and mental health challenges, finding solace in its philosophy and breath techniques. She trained extensively, including with Yoganand Michael Carroll at Kripalu, Pranakriya in Atlanta, and on a pilgrimage in India. Her teachings include Yin yoga and yoga therapy influenced by Josh Summers and Don Stapelton, PhD. Amanda founded Santosha Studio in 2016, where she emphasizes internal awareness and prioritizes the subtle body, reflecting her belief in the transformative power of thought and change.

Amanda leads yogic retreats and conscious travel experiences in the US, Costa Rica, Nepal and Greece. Her curated retreats emphasize a supportive group dynamic and personal introspection. Experiences on and off the mat are based on the yogic principles of sthira and sukha; noticing when there’s too much effort or tension, and inviting more ease.

ROOM #1

Rest to RISE

The sun has peaked at summer solstice, and we too may find ourselves operating upward and outward, on overdrive during these longer, brighter days. This practice encourages balance by grounding and turning inward. I'll guide easeful, unwinding movement and breath awareness before a long guided rest meditation designed to balance your nervous system, enhance your interoception and deeply honor your inner Knowing.

Slow, somatic movement helps reconnect us to our innate wisdom through internal physical perception and embodied experience. Yoga Nidra is a cooling practice of deepest rest and guided inner awareness; a reclined meditation. Its benefits include lower cortisol levels, better nighttime sleep, decreased anxiety and better cognitive function.

This will be a grounding, seated (ideally on a yoga mat or rug) session that probably can be done with your eyes closed. Plan ahead to build a boundary for being uninterrupted for one hour of the kind of rest that allows you to RISE resourced and revitalized.

Comfortable props, like a couple of pillows, an eye covering, and a light blanket are encouraged.
