WATCH: Creating the Vision & Finding the Venue


Choosing the right venue is foundational. It sets the tone, supports the transformation, and impacts your budget and marketing. This is where vision meets logistics.  

What You'll Learn:

  • What you want to create for your client’s experience and get clear on your intention.
  • Where to/how to look for a venue that is aligned with your vision.
  • What to look for/ask when negotiating a contract with venue; deposits, payment schedules, cancellations policies, etc
  • What travel insurance. you need for yourself

Possible Challenges:

  • Give up on your vision if you don’t have funds for deposit
  • Have a Plan B venue if things don’t come through..
  • If dates shift or contracts fall through, communicate transparently with your audience or collaborators.
  • Consider a site visit or a trusted referral before committing.

Action Steps: (Checklist)

  • Clarify your retreat vision: size, vibe, location, amenities.
  • Research and contact potential venues (3–5 options minimum) and check with nOMad properties to find a possible match
  • Ask the right questions: cancellation policy, what's included, payment schedule.
  • Secure your dates and sign a clear contract.
  • Begin a shared document or calendar with deadlines.
